Annual General Meeting (AGM) Successfully Concluded The Annual General Meeting of the Thane District Housing Federation was successfully held on Monday, 24th August 2026 at 11:00 AM in an enthusiastic and positive atmosphere. The meeting included a comprehensive review of the Federation’s activities, discussions on various important matters, and meaningful deliberations on upcoming initiatives. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to work more effectively towards the development of Co-operative Housing Societies and the welfare of members through the spirit of co-operation.
Felicitation Ceremony of Hon. Revenue Minister Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankuleji The Thane District Housing Federation and Thane City Society Forum jointly organised a felicitation ceremony honouring Hon. Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankuleji, Revenue Minister, Government of Maharashtra. The programme highlighted several important revenue reforms benefiting citizens, farmers and co-operative housing societies, including the announcement of the Land Titling Act, Property Cards and Vertical Property Cards, along with the abolition of NA Tax. The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, society office bearers, members and citizens.
“Daad Ani Firyad” – An Initiative for Timely Resolution of Co-operative Society Grievances On the occasion of the completion of 5 years of the Ministry of Cooperation, the “Daad Ani Firyad” programme was organised under Sahakar Saptah 2026, jointly by the District Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Thane and the Thane District Co-operative Housing Federation Ltd. The initiative aims to provide timely resolution of internal disputes, differences and grievances within co-operative societies, ensuring justice and support to members and the general public. It is a commendable and people-centric initiative that will contribute towards strengthening the co-operative sector through dialogue, coordination and collaboration. The programme was attended by Hon. Niranjanji Davkhare, MLA, Konkan Graduates’ Constituency; Shri Amar Shinde, Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Thane City; along with society members and office bearers.
Sahakar Saptah 2026 – Successfully Concluded! The series of programs organized as part of Sahakar Saptah 2026, including Dad Firyad, Sahakar Sahvad, and awareness & guidance sessions, concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation. We sincerely thank all the dignitaries, officials, representatives of cooperative housing societies, and participants for making this initiative a grand success. Together, we strengthen cooperation. Together, we build a better future.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Thane District Housing Federation organized a felicitation program at Late Narendra Ballal Hall of the Thane Municipal Corporation to honor women Deputy Commissioners of the Thane Municipal Corporation and newly elected women corporators from all political parties. The program was attended by Mayor Mrs. Sharmila Pimpalolkar, Deputy Mayor Krishnaji Patil, Thane Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Additional District Collector Mrs. Revati Gaikar, Federation President Sitaram Rane, and other dignitaries. In the presence of these distinguished guests, all 42 women corporators elected to the Thane Municipal Corporation, along with Deputy Commissioners Mrs. Anagha Kadam, Mrs. Suchita Sancheti, and Mrs. Meenal Palande, as well as Federation Sales Recovery Officers Mrs. Ujjwala Jadhav, Mrs. Madhuri More, and Mr. Manoj Devre, were felicitated. On this occasion, books containing information about bylaws and regulations related to the functioning of housing societies were presented as gifts. Additionally, an attractive selfie point was created on the first floor of the Thane Municipal Corporation building for the event, where many women corporators clicked photographs.
